Christmas Eve 2010

Christmas Eve we got to see almost all of our family...(from left) Karina came down from Reno, Steven came West from NC where he is in training (Marines)!
Uncle Steve and Aunt Sarah came with Angelina.
Nana and Poppie came later and had a quick visit.
Uncle and Anthony and Aunt Leah came with our niece Kaylee (6 months) and Uncle Danny, Aunt Jana brought cousins Andrew, Janae and Snoof (8 months)
The kids open gifts and the babies got to play!
We weren't able to get the babies and the Conda's Kids in the picture - but here are the "kids" all together...
Jeremy was excited to get a DJ mixer from Nana and Poppie and Santa brought him a new iMac computer!
Jacob got a snuggie and the Harry Potter movies - Yay for Christmas Eve!

Santa...

Wednesday night Santa was in the neighborhood and stopped by to read us a quick story and pose with the family. Santa was funny and took the kids questions with stride. Jeremy just learned about Saint Nick in school so he had to ask..."Were you devastated when your parents died?" and "How have you survived so long?" WOW! Santa of course was gracious and showed us an actual piece of coal. Danny, Jana and the kids came over. Santa didn't make snoofie cry at all! The Patton's also joined us. Their daughter (same age as Jeremy) said all she wanted for Christmas was for her family to have a happy and safe holiday! Where do I get one of those kids! LOL After Santa left we had hot cocoa and marshmallows. It was a great evening!

Family Night

For family night we played Monopoly Jr. with the boys - I think it is time to move up to the adult version. I am pretty sure they have mastered the Jr. version! Jacob won with over 75 dollars and his "hotels" dominating the board. I came in a distant second with 25 dollars and 2 hotels. Dad came in 3rd and Jeremy was all out. Can't wait for a rematch!

The Jelly Belly

Jelly Belly was so much fun! The kids loved it and it was super informative! They let you taste the Jelly Belly's as they go through the process. After the tour the kids got to go to crazy at the sample bar! It is definitely more festive around the holidays I think. Easter might be a fun time to go back. The boys especially like the artwork. They had portraits of Elvis, the Giants and A's World Series, Presidents and more all made from individual jelly beans!

Tonight Santa is coming to visit! cant wait...

Santa Claus is Coming to Town!

Santa Claus is coming to town! Santa will be visiting our home next Wednesday. I love having Santa come to our home its fun and the kids love it! Great memories will be had by all...

Long Weekend

We had a super long weekend. Saturday morning we went to wrestling with Jeremy at Foothill High School. It was cool to see so many kids there. After wrestling practice we came home and changed into baseball attire for tryouts. The boys did good for not practicing out of season. We were starving after that so I took the boys to Mountain Mikes then home for a rest. When dad got home we watched Kick Ass then off to bed!

Sunday we had church, picked up the boys camp reg forms then headed off to see Harry Potter. Jacob is loving the series! Finally off to eat at on the border, home and time to get ready for school.

I have to upload video someday so I will post it up when I get a chance!

I saw this list tacked to Jacob's wall.

He said it is his list to remember before leaving in the morning.

Hmm...

- Closh's (clothes)
- Shrit (shirt)
- Pants
- Socks
- Shoes
- Dignitey (Dignity)

I had to laugh out loud when I saw the last on the list...I am not even sure he knows what that means...

Jacobs Class

Here is a group picture of Jacobs class...So Cute!

What an Exciting Week!

We had a great week! Jeremy got his report card and all A's and B's pretty good for the transition to Jr. High! So we celebrated at Simply Fondue - we LOVE fondue!! Since La Fondue (my favorite is so far away) we go to Simply Fondue in Livermore. It is a pretty nice place and have GREAT Martinis - over 150 different ones I think. You can actually get a martini sampler, which has 6 martinis - I think...

Friday I went to Savvy Seconds for their first Friday event. I love Debbi and Ann Marie, they are so sweet and fun! I brought one of my favorite girls with me. After we went to the Blue Agave Club for a margarita and a quick bite.

This Friday the girls are having a jewelry party! Can't wait for that!

Thanks to the lovely rain we had an amazing stay at home Sunday! It was nice to just have a day to breath!

BE THANKFUL

With everything going on in our busy, stressful lives right now it can be challenging to just be THANKFUL. I am reminded everyday...

I am thankful for a warm caring husband.

I am thankful my kids are happy and healthy.

I am thankful I have the ability to stay home with my children.

I am thankful for a warm bed, beautiful home and plenty of food in my belly.

I am thankful for family and friends.

Really the list can go on - but mostly I am thankful that I have such a long list.
